Be Healthy & Happy – No Guilt Involved

Of course the two go hand and hand, being healthy makes you happy and being happy makes you healthy. So how do you get there if your not currently in that spot. You start off slowly not to overwhelm yourself. You don’t want to crap out before you get started. You decide what area you want to start with first, mental health, eating healthy, or exercising. You can jump right in with all three if you choose, hey, more power to ya!

Exercise Everyday If Possible

With exercise start off reasonable such as thirty minutes three to four times a week. If all you have is twenty minutes by all means take what you can get. Ten minutes is better than no minutes. I use to be the one who would forgo my workout if I woke up late and only was able to get twenty minutes in. I learned from that, mentally and physically you feel better about yourself and your day when you get something in rather than nothing at all.

Eat Healthy Most Of The Time

I’m sure we all struggle with eating healthy 24-7, I know I do. I would never for a second suggest to give up your indulgences. One thing I like to do is work for it. Eat healthy all week, work out hard and by the weekend allow yourself to have that glass of wine, pizza, French fries or piece of chocolate cake. Whatever it is that YOU have been craving. So again, just like easing into your workouts, you should ease into your healthy eating lifestyle. Try to eat out only once a week, unless of course, you make healthy options while dining out, seriously, who does that?. That is hard for most people to do, however, on that day you eat out make sure your other meals and snacks are sensible.

Mental Health

So as for your mental health if you are feeding your body healthy foods and exercising it daily you should be pretty happy! There are those stressor that we all have in our lives, you just need to find the best way to handle those stressors whether it be taking a walk, maybe a run, or a yoga class, punching bag, you get my drift, you should implement it and not allow those stressors to take you over.
