Body weight workouts are wonderful because they can be done anywhere with no equipment needed. However, it is nice to switch up your workout when you can using different types of equipment to keep your workouts nice and spicy!
Try using discs to do some of your core and ab moves to heat things up a bit. You can also use paper plates on carpet or socks or towels on floors. So don’t discount this workout if you do not have discs because it can still be done.
Sliding Mountain Climbers
Begin in a plank position and slide one knee in toward the chest, alternating knees.
Sliding Frogs
Begin in a plank position, slide both knees into the chest and spread outward and backward into starting position.
Knee Tucks
Begin in plank position, slide both knees into the chest and straight back to starting position.
Sliding Pike
Begin in a plank position slide both feet in toward your chest into a pike position then return to starting position.
Knee to Elbow
Begin in a plank position slide the opposite knee to the opposite elbow, alternating.
Plank and Reach
Begin in a plank position, slide one hand out in front of you, bring in back in, alternating arms.
Sliding Crunch
Start in a crunch position, as you crunch up slide both your feet up toward your body.
Incorporate all of these sliding ab moves into your workout routine and you will shape up your abdominal muscles in no time.
These moves are not only great for your abs and core they also challenge your body upper body from being in a plank position.
